Volunteer Tea & Cake Social 2016 | Richmond Food Bank Society

We had a lot of fun at our fourth annual Volunteer Tea & Cake Social on Saturday 20 February 2016.

_DSC3186More than 80 RFB volunteers enjoyed 12 different desserts and 9 different kinds of tea.

_DSC3185We also enjoyed hearing the fascinating oral history of the Richmond Food Bank from one of the founders, Jack Pearson (seen in this photo with RFB Executive Director, Margaret Hewlett):

_DSC3204We hold four annual appreciation events and monthly social outings as our way of thanking the more than 200 people who volunteer with us each week.  We are very thankful for their hard work – we couldn’t help our neighbours in need without the wonderful RFB volunteers.
