2021 Walk for Memories

2021 Walk for Memories

Thanks to all who joined us or supported our walking team once again for the 2021 Walk for Alzheimer’s !  This year, participants were invited to walk any time, anywhere, all through the month of May. The walk helped to raise money and awareness for a very important cause that touches so many of our lives and families. This year, we raised a total of $508 dollars!

In 2019, RFB staff and volunteers walked together in support of the members of our community with dementia or Alzheimer’s. We raised over $600 to support programs and services in our community that improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families!

It was a bright, warm day and we enjoyed each other’s company as we walked in the beautiful park surrounding Hugh McRoberts Secondary School.

This year, participants enjoyed walking (and biking) in their “bubbles” or independently in locations like the Seawall, Steveston neighbourhood, and local community gardens in Richmond. We look forward to walking again next year – hopefully together, as one walking team!
