National Volunteer Week 2022

National Volunteer Week (April 24-30) was a time to celebrate all our amazing volunteers who dedicate countless hours of their precious time to serve our neighbours in need.
Our volunteer team consists of over 250 active volunteers that help us out at our main site as well as at our two off-site depots. Volunteers young and old continue to be the lifeblood of our food bank and we are grateful to each and everyone of them for showing up to their volunteer shifts like brave, dedicated heroes week after week, all through the year.
To show our love, staff organized pancake breakfasts for each day’s volunteer crew and bought everyone lunch or dinner. Our clients shared notes of thanks and staff put together little swag bags that included a special badge for each of our volunteers.
