2017 Steveston Dragon Boat Festival!

We had a lot of fun at the Steveston Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday 26 August 2017!
The RFB Volunteers’ Dragon Boat team competed very well in the races, coming in 4th in their division. We’re proud of the team’s dedication and sportsmanship- they represented us well!
We enjoyed being part of the festivities during this fun-filled day. Thanks to the generosity of the other 71 dragon boat teams and the festival spectators, we collected 200 lbs of food and over $1200, including the parking money generously donated by Dragon Boat BC!
Thank you to Dragon Boat BC for organizing the event, and for their generous support of both the RFB Volunteers’ Team and our neighbours in need. We are also grateful for the support of the UBC Boathouse for generously hosting the RFB Volunteers’ Team practices.
We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s Festival. Paddles Up!
