Volunteer Appreciation Dinner 2016

_DSC3818Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was a superb night!

_DSC3817On Monday 18 April 2016, RFB volunteers and their sweethearts- more than 140 people in total- came together to eat at the ANAF Unit 284 in Steveston.  It was a celebration of our hard work to help our neighbours in need and of our community.

_DSC3821We recognized volunteers for their long-standing service to our community.

_DSC3820We can help more than 2200 people each week because of our 218 weekly volunteers.  We’re so grateful that they choose to spend their time helping our neighbours in need.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and thank you to all of our volunteers for your efforts every week. _DSC3822Volunteering at the Richmond Food Bank is more than just helping a great cause- it’s a great way to make friends!  We have tea time each day we’re open, organize monthly outings (including walks, curling, pub nights, and more), and hold four major events each year (Tea and Cake Social, Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, Volunteers’ BBQ, and Volunteers’ Pot Luck).

Please visit this page if you’re interested in joining this wonderful, warm group of people to help our neighbours in need.

We look forward to next year’s Appreciation Dinner and hope to see you there!
