RFB at the 2016 Salmon Festival

It was a pleasure and a privilege to be part of this year’s Salmon Festival Parade on 1 July 2016.
30 RFB volunteers and staff joined over 70 floats to celebrate Canada Day and our community. We greeted 50 000 people and were thrilled with the warm welcome we received.
After the parade we enjoyed a light lunch at RFB volunteers Esther and Hans’ house.
Thank you to the Steveston Community Centre and the organizers of the Salmon Festival for coordinating such a wonderful event, to the RFB volunteers who walked with us, and to everyone who cheered us on.
We’ll see you at the 2017 Salmon Festival!
