FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Tzu Chi Foundation recently assembled and donated more than 600 Winter Gift Packs that were distributed to clients of the Richmond Food Bank. These gift packs, which included household and personal items, were part of the Tzu Chi Foundation’s annual tradition of providing Winter Relief to those in need.

The Tzu Chi Foundation is a long-standing and key supporter of the Richmond Food Bank. They have worked alongside us to serve the Richmond community for more than 15 years, and currently support the Food Bank’s key operations with roughly 30 volunteer hours per week since the onset of the pandemic (Tzu Chi volunteered more than 40 hours per week in pre-pandemic times before physical distancing considerations came into effect). We are so grateful for Tzu Chi’s unwavering volunteer assistance each week, including sorting donations, assembling hampers of food, and much more. Their involvement is key to serving over 1,400 neighbours in need through the Food Bank’s grocery distribution programs, delivery program, and by supporting community partner programs.

Congratulations to the Tzu Chi Foundation on another successful Winter Relief effort!

Tzu Chi is a community non-profit charity with the motto of “serving with compassion and gratitude.” You can find out more about Tzu Chi Canada and the wonderful work they do on their website.
