BC Thanksgiving Food Drive 2020 raises 18,000 lbs of food

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated to or volunteered with the 2020 BC Thanksgiving Food Drive – this year’s drive was a great success! Together, the community raised a record-breaking 18,000 lbs of quality non-perishable food for our neighbours in need.

Volunteers from all over Richmond helped to promote the food drive and collected food and monetary donations. This effort was part of the larger, province-wide food drive known as the BC Thanksgiving Food Drive.

Thank you to our donors – Your generous support will provide grocery assistance for Richmond families through our weekly grocery distributions, off-site grocery distribution depots, delivery programs, and community partner support.

Thank you to BC Thanksgiving Food Drive organizers, particularly the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Richmond, and all the volunteers, for your hard work that made this event so successful.

You can still make donations by dropping bags of non-perishables off in the donation bin at a grocery store near you, or at our main location at 100 – 5800 Cedarbridge Way during our hours of operation.
