RFBS now gratefully accepts e-Transfers

We know that making contributions to your community can be difficult during the pandemic. Now there are even more options for those wishing to donate to the Richmond Food Bank safely and online.
The Richmond Food Bank is now set up to accept Interac e-Transfers.
To give by e-Transfer:
Please go to your Online Banking site and click on the link for an Interac e-Transfer. Fill in the required information, including the amount of your donation.
When asked to provide the recipient’s email address, enter treasurer@richmondfoodbank.org (no security question required). No processing fee will be deducted from your donation.
Please include your mailing address so we can ensure you receive a tax receipt (for donations $20 or more).
If your banking institution asks for the recipient’s ‘mobile phone number,’ please enter 604 271 5609.

Do I need to add a security question?
No security question is needed.
How will I know my donation was received?
You will receive an email confirming your gift was received.
Will I get a tax receipt?
Tax receipts for donations of at least $20 for e-Transfers will be issued within 4-6 weeks after the time of donation.
What is the minimum and maximum amount I can give?
There is no minimum amount, however, only gifts $20 and over will be issued a tax receipt. The maximum amount depends on the daily limit set by your bank or credit union. Please contact your financial institution for details.
How much does it cost to send money via an Interac e-Transfer?
There may be a fee from your financial institution for using the Interac e-Transfer service. Please check with your bank or credit union.
How else can I donate without having to visit the office in person?
You can donate to us securely online here. Another option is to mail a cheque made out to the Richmond Food Bank Society to #100 – 5800 Cedarbridge Way, Richmond BC, V6X 2A7. You can also make a credit card donation over the phone by calling 604 271 5609.
Just a reminder: the Richmond Food Bank does not solicit donations door-to-door.
