Our New Walk-In Cooler and Freezer- Thank You Food Banks BC!

By Keith Yee in Donation on November 22, 2017

Because of a grant from Food Banks BC, we have a new walk-in cooler and freezer!

Our new walk-in cooler and freezer greatly expands our capacity to store perishable food, allowing us to accept more fresh fruits & vegetables, dairy items, and even meat!  Expanding the donations we can accept and being able to purchase more perishable food will benefit the people we need by giving them more healthy, nutritionally-balanced grocery assistance.

The installation of the cooler was a team effort.  Special thanks to electrician and RFB volunteer John Coop for his hard work in installing the electrical system.

Thank you, Food Banks BC, for your generous support through the Perishable Food Recovery Grant!  The new cooler and freezer the grant purchased will help us provide better assistance to our neighbours in need.
