2016 RFB Annual General Meeting

We held our annual general meeting on Wednesday 15 June 2016 in the Richmond Food Bank.
As a NPO in BC and a registered charity in Canada, we are required to hold a meeting of the Richmond Food Bank Society’s members every year. This important meeting addresses several pieces of business:
- The 2016-2017 Board of Directors was elected and, in the subsequent Directors’ Meeting, the Executive was selected;
- The 2016 Report of the RFB’s activities was presented by RFB Executive Director Margaret Hewlett. We celebrated our successes and the many new ways we help our neighbours in need;
- The audited financial statements were presented by our independent outside auditors, RHN Accountants. Although we are not required to hold an audit every year, we do so to ensure that we are being as financially prudent as possible.
The 2016 RFB AGM was a rousing success. Thank you to the RFB Directors for your generous contributions to our organization and for the many hours you volunteer to provide governance and oversight.
